Thanks to God for Godly parents and the miracle of Easter.....

I was just thinking this morning,  about my parents,(may they rest in peace). They were God fearing people and instilled that in me during my younger years. I remembered several Easter Days that mom made all of us dresses and hats to match. She was such a wonderful seamstress and creative too boot. As I have been making my headcoverings lately, I realized that the part of my mother that I thought was dead in me, has appeared in a different way. I started with beading, then sewing my snoods, making better and newer things that are old, instead of throwing them away. You know we all think our parents are old fashioned when we are younger. I did too, and thought that they "didnt know what they were talking about" or " everyone else is doing it". Been there done that~ Went many years trying to please the world, guys, friends, husbands, etc....what I really needed was to stick to that old addage, "Mother (Father) knows Best!!" Thanks to Mom and Dad, for telling me "I was not going to wear "that" to school, or church. Too short, too see through, too low, etc....Where are  parents today????? In some of the parents I see, they have either lost control, don't care, or just simply are too involved in their own lives to see. I see all the time, how people dress, I mean it is hard to take anyone of them seriously sometimes. Unless your a plumber, your pants should be "higher". LOL....Girls show all of what they have, no wonder our society says anything goes. It is tragic!!!! Mom's, get involved!!! Don't let your girls wear things that are not honorable to their self worth, this is when they might actually meet "their husband to be". If they are all the things the world says you need to catch a hubby, do they ever mention, honesty, integrity, commitment (til death do us part), love, honor, ???? No! They don't tell you that. They say you need to look like Tyra Banks, be rich, and the lifestyle that goes with it. NO! Read the Bible , it will tell you what you need for your life. I'm not just some "old lady " tired of 'trends, I have lived this life before. And I went to church, and the whole nine yards, but still it only attracts the same old things. Its like honey, if you take it to the mountain, the bees will follow.....take into the church, the bees will follow. Some of the sayings on tee shirts and caps are unbelieveable. When I went shopping for suitable caps to wear, almost all I could find, had some riduculous logo, or worse, promoting drinking, etc...."Coors Lite, Bud, etc...all in pink to look cute, what are we doing people.?????? Just throw our young people to the wolves???? I know what you're going to say, "well, they need to think on their own", yes, but they need strong convictions and good examples for that to happen. God is a jealous God, I believe alot of our problems in today's society are directly related to our family fall. If we put our "gods" away and acknowledge the TRUE GOD!, then all would be right with the world. It would extend past short skirts, dirty mouths, and stinkin thinkin, and would mend this world, to honesty, integrity, loyalty, commitment, love and making a masterpiece from this mess. Sorry to ramble, but if we want true revival we need to pull in the apron strings alittle. Show that we care, by REALLY CARING! Love your neighbor as yourself, I think this means, brother, sister, daughter, son, parents, etc. Most of all love God with all your heart soul and mind, and the rest will follow.....just like the bees....
