On the move...

Here we are, just days to go until the BIG MOVE! I have moved from CA where I was born, then when I was 6,we moved to Portland Oregon,AND THEN when I was 16 we moved BACK to CA and then when I was 41 back to Oregon, now to Montana approaching 50! Where did all the time go? In between those moves I have had some amazing life changes. Some good, like my sons, marriages, and some bad, divorce and deaths. Its been a long haul, but I didnt really know who I was until about a couple years ago, and I am still working on it. Who you are is not defined by where you live, what job you do, being able or not, to do the things you once did. I feel fortunate to have been able to search my soul and see what is in there, how I affect me and others. I learned some valuable lessons along the way.First I learned that MOM was right!!!! On most everything. Don't think your parents are old fashioned. They have been through all the things before you, and have wise advice, if you just listen. Don't try to fix something that someone else is trying or not trying to fix themselves. Let the chips fall where they may THEN try to help them pick us the pieces and go from there. Just because you can't or don't feel like it, does NOT mean you don't want or have the desire to. Not hearing does not mean not listening. I actually feel that I have special connection to God, because when he speaks, sometimes the real world can get in the way, and fuzz things up a bit. I can't hear the "fuzz", so my connection is pretty clear most times, and when its not, it is totally my bad. God always speaks so I can hear him. Isn't that wonderful. I don't need a hearing aid to hear him, he doesn't have to be right in front of me so I can "read his lips", I can hear everything that he says perfectly. And my heart is my ears, because I can FEEL what YOU hear. Think about that for a moment. I am lucky, because deep down, when I see anything, I "feel" the nuances and connections that most others may pass up. I have learned that there isn't always a 'RIGHT" way to do something, and as long as it's done and works, it's ok to do it with whatever method works for you (in most cases). I also have learned that just because YOU do something, doesn't make it the right thing for someone else, we can all be together and yet be separate. Don't always follow the crowd, be yourself and people will like you for who you are. Don't always try to be the first on everything. Let others go ahead of you, take your time, what are you missing???? Don't be in a rush, again take your time, life is so beautiful but short, enjoy, absorb, you only go around this world once....

I can't wait for this new adventure. Rocky Mountains, Continental Divide, beautiful streams, mountain air, fresh breezes, COLD temperatures. I am excited that we have really "unloaded" a lot of our stuff through garage sales over the past few months, trying to downsize for when Marty did get a job, we would be READY! Well, now we are, so much lighter, only taking the extreme necessities. We decided to keep anything that has a "forest" theme to it. So we are down to a living room set log furniture and a couple chairs that go with it, a bed room set (gotta have good sleep)!! Small dining room set w chairs, a few coffee mugs a few drinking glasses, some dishes and stuff, food, definitely our coffee pot!!!,our office stuff, computer, etc. Doggies, kitty, each other... It is amazing when you go through your stuff how you have so much more stuff than you could imagine. Crazy! This is so tiring, envigorating, emotional, somber, exciting all at the same time. Life is good. Thank God for this great opportunity!
