I can't believe it! I got an email from my atty in WA saying I was approved!
Now, I have to explain some things that will show why this was so mircaculous.
1. My Atty was in WA and all my papers had been shipped to the MT state disability offices in Billings MT. When we moved here, I gave her all my new mailing info, and she said she would bow out of the case once I had a hearing date. That all my info would be sent to MT and they would put me in with the other Montanans waiting for a hearing. so that could be months, but at least I wouldn't lose my place.
2. I received a disc(with all my medical info on it, and paperwork to fill out to go to the judge) I am not currently seeing a dr, so I was unable to fill out parts of it, but I sent it back to them, with a heartfelt letter, stating what I can and can't do on a given day, and how I am having issues that would not be good in any job type. A couple days later, I spoke(by phone) with the main person in Billings, MT. He said that they got my disc and letter, and that he doesn't make the decisions, but that I would be getting a letter stating that I would be having my hearing in about 40-60 days.
3. My Atty also said that when she spoke with the disability atty in MT, that he stated that my medical findings would not qualify me for disability, and that even the last Dr's reports from SSD drs (Dr's for the state of OR) and a medical dr that did a thorough examination in 06 for AIG, because of my accident, all said that I could go back to work. That if I were to appear before a judge, depending on the judge, I could be found, disabled or not, depending on the judge!
4. She (my atty) also stated that because of my recent bridge into "old age" (my 50th birthday~:D) that there are different rules for age brackets, and I am finally in the RIGHT bracket for disability. So, I was found disabled as my onset date was Dec 26 2009. Also, my atty, since I will not be getting much in back pay, will not be charging me for any of her time. (I hired her in 5/2009).
5. I have been praying a long time, I first applied in 2007, only to have the SSA lose my papers and have to start again. But recently, we have been praying the prayer of Jabez (found at thet top of my blog page), and I told God that if it was his will that I have disability, that either I would have to go before a judge with no atty this time, and get approved OR my preference of letting me get approved without me having to go to Missoula to court. I even said that I trust him enough to know that He can turn anything around for HIS glory, however he wants, even if my drs say I can go back to work! Even though my letter was from me, what I think and feel, it was not from a Doctor's point of view and therefore could have been damaging to my case....
I believe that I was given this miracle to let others know, that God can and will do miracles, now, just like in Biblical times. I think the problem, is that most people, even me for a long time, thought nah, God only did that for Moses, and David, not for me. But I asked him, believing and willing to accept what may have come out of it, that he can change anything to his will because he is GOD!
Needless to say, this will be a blessing to us, as we have been struggling on Marty's pay. He works so hard everyday, turning over board after board, and being on his feet all day 10 hrs at a day, thank God he has a job, as we didn't for awhile, but now I will be able to be a "contributing consumer", while being a keeper at home too. Praise God!
