It is no secret

What God can do. What he's done for others, he'll do for you. That is part of the hymn we sang on Sunday. And I was thinking that if you know me, I will tell you that God's grace is NO SECRET! He is there for all of us.

Just in the past three days, I have been personally blessed beyond imagination. First I went to a craft session at church, expecting to show others how to make prayer beads, and God allowed some to want me to make them and they would pay me for it. Then on Sunday,I was asked to join the parish praise music team if I so desired and I was blessed to read in front of the church some of the scriptures, and was told by everyone, what a great reader I was, that I annunciated well and knew how to pronounce all the biblical names of places correctly (the highest compliment came from Pastor Stoker himself!)(that came from lots of prayer and practice) Then I have been going to physical therapy for the past week, and have felt so good! Where as just a week ago, I was dependant on my cane again, and in alot of pain. This week, due to new pain meds and physical therapy, I was able to take the hill instead of the ramp, and make it up and down the stairs at church without looking like I'm 85 years old (matter of fact) last week, the 85 yr olds were "beating" me down the stairs, that is how bad I was walking.. Then Sunday we also had our landlady come over,(she was back in town for only a week, and had asked if she could come over on Sunday)and I knew she wanted to discuss putting the cabin up for sale, and letting the realtor come through and show it this spring and summer, which would mean we would have to have it tip top shape all the time, AND may not have a place to live at the end of it, having to find a new place come fall. So, when she came in , she brought a beautiful geranium and wonderful strawberry cheesecake, and Marty had graciously invited her to partake of Mother's Day dinner with us. As we started to talk, she had a lot on her plate, her mom is sick in New York, she has to be there to take care of her, and the last thing she needs is to worry about escrow falling through or getting someone to buy that wants to pay less than the price offered. All the paperwork and phone calls necessary to make it happen... She really has a heavy heart right now. So, I suggested that she let us remain here for another year and pay the same rent, and take care of it, like she saw we have now, and keep it a rental. It would be easier for her, than when she had tough times renting it before and then maybe sell it when the market goes back up...in the meantime focus on her mom and her life in NY. She started to cry talking about the time she is having now, and agreed that this would work for her, and she was happy with the arrangement. We went on to enjoy the rest of the meal and we get to continue our adventure here in our cabin in the woods for another year at least! Then today comes, and we get our federal tax check back that will really help us. So, yeah, there is no secret what God can do, if you follow him and serve him, he will richly bless you. Thanks be to God!
