If you observe My Commandments....

We have been doing a "little house cleaning" and in that, means out with the old....yard sales, ebay, etc.....so we have been doing this for awhile, but as most of you know, we TRY not to do business to benefit our pocketbook on Shabbat(Friday sundown to Saturday sundown). So in saying that, we haven't done our selling, on that day. So on Sundays, we will put together our sales, etc.  Interestingly enough, it was discussed that Saturdays are a better sales day, and God won't care. REALLY??? What about the money changers in the Temple? YA THINK? So, it has been my stance for years, seriously, when I was married to my first hubby, he would sometimes do business on Shabbat. I worked retail, for a long time, I worked on Saturdays, but soon realized there were some that would exchange their Sunday shift for my Saturday, so it always worked out.  And I would say, "if you believe that you are to keep a special day to Him, then He will take care of the rest) in other words, if you aren't supposed to work on Saturday, and have a family to feed, but say you have a certain belief system, then if you don't work on that day, that God will supply all of your needs as you were obedient to Him. But I think sometimes people say it, but don't really believe it.  Well I have a story for you.

When the Shabbat was over, after sunset, we started to get things together. Signage, and stuff, ready to go...Sunday , we got up , drank our coffee, had breakfast, and set things up. It was a lovely day, although quite HOT! but we got stuff out there anyway, lots of big stuff and a million LITTLE things!!! You know, those little things that you go through a bin full of at yard sales, and say "how much is this"? and the person says, " Oh, $.25, but you can get 4 things for $1.00". you know what I mean. and those things do add up as you have bought them over the years, but have no need for them any longer...

We were talking about it being Sunday, and everyone usually goes to church and then sometimes lunch out, or home for lunch, etc...so sometimes that Sunday is not the best day for yard and garage sales.  But you know what? First we had one lady and her son, with their doggie, they looked and chatted, then left.  Then we had another actual, customer;,a real living breathing human customer!!! Whoo hoo!! And THEN, we had the SAME customer, again, with her friend, and they bought a few things here and there...THEN we had a Looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong silence. ( got a nap in, dinner, T.V. news...) I prayed early on, that all of our stuff would go, as we didn't want to pack it BACK IN the house, and didn't want to have to take it to the thrift store either.  I know people think, we only have to pray or should pray for the important things, and that a yard sale, isn't worth HIS time...read on.  So, as we were having this long season of quiet and not a soul...Cars driving by, coming and going , etc..NOTHING, I was reading, thinking, enjoying a cup of iced tea and just enjoying the quiet. and THEN the most amazing thing happened... The first customer came BACK to get something else, and so we talked to her and she wanted to buy us out! YEP, you heard me, SHE BOUGHT EVERYTHING, even the million itty bitty things...!!!Can you believe it! Goes to show, that God always shows up, if YOU do your part. Meaning, if you follow His commandments, and do what HE has told us to do in His Word, HE will come through for us. It was amazing, to see such a miracle to happen, so we got  our money out of it and  we got rid of everything( like I said, we had furniture, jewelry, clothing, girl stuff, fishing stuff, household deco, etc)...lots of stuff, so people that didn't stop in,  missed out! But the customer, has what we call her "Garage boutique",( she garage sales others stuff, some on consignment) ironically some of the things, were things WE bought at the Garage boutique!LOL,  anyway, I wanted to let everyone know, that if We who are called by His name, do what He says, how and when He says to do it, He will bless your socks off, in ways you had no idea would or could happen...In our case, He blessed us with room for new things and new adventures...Thank you YHVH!
